Last Long Weekend for UAE Residents in 2023

UAE Residents can enjoy their last long break of the year 2023 in September. The next expected long weekend will be on Friday, 29th September 2023, on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birthday, leading to a 3 day weekend, allowing Residents to plan a weekend getaways for the last time in 2023.

The Public Holidays for year 2023 will conclude in December with Commemoration Day falling on December 1 followed by UAE National on December 2 and 3, but considering these days coinciding with weekends, don't expect any additional day offs.

In UAE, a unified list of holiday applies to both public and private sectors, which ensures both category of employees get equal number of days off.

• Gregorian New Year - January 1

• Eid Al Fitr - Ramadan' 29 to Shawwal' 3

• Arafah Day - Dhul Hijjah' 9

• Eid Al Adha - Dhul Hijjah' 10-12

• Hijri New Year - July 21

• Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday - September 29

• UAE National Day - December 2 and 3
