Safety in Dubai

Dubai is a second home to more than 100+ nationalities living and working together in Emirate of Dubai and tourists from over 180 countries visiting Dubai. Dubai is virtually crime-free, and this has been proven time and again. For the 3rd time in a row, this amazing city has been named not only the cleanest city, but also the safest city in the world.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai), shared this information on Twitter:

“Dubai is the safest city in the world, the cleanest in the world, and the most beautiful. God willing, let us keep it safe, stable and prosperous”

Weather

Yes, you heard right. Although Dubai has a hot desert climate does not matter which time in dubai we are referring to, with an average temperature ranging from 20°C - 40°C, but considering the humidity being relatively low, the heat is mostly bearable.Dubai’s coolest month is January with temperatures around 20°C and during summer its ranges around 45⁰C, the hottest month is generally in August.

Architecture

Dubai is a place, where you would find some of the most iconic & futuristic architecture in the world, which includes world tallest building Burj Khalifa. Some of the worth mentioning buildings are:

  • Burj Khalifa, which is the world’s tallest building at 828 meters, it’s a unique feat of engineering and perfectly showcases the true spirit and progressive mindset of Dubai.

  • Cayan Tower, formerly also known as “Infinity Tower”, its uniqueness comes from a 90‑degree twist, which seems almost impossible and futuristic.

  • Dubai Canal, a manmade canal stretching 3.2 kms long. It connects Dubai Creek to the Arabian Gulf. Enjoy this canal on a cruise or simply take a stroll along the waterfront. It has a unique feature is a waterfall which changes its color and automatically start and stops based on cruises/ships passing underneath it.

  • Dubai Frame, one of the very recent architectural feats which offers a panoramic view of Old and New Dubai at 150 mts above ground.

Shopping:

This is something which everyone coming to Dubai is aware of. It’s truly a shopper's paradise. With high-end designer stores to simple traditional bazaars, the city homes some of the world's largest shopping malls, including but not limited to “Dubai Mall”, where every kind of visitor would find something to cherish and enjoy. One of my personal favorites, is the newly opened Dubai Hills Mall which is located in a stylist residential neighbourhood – Dubai Hills. It should cater to all your shopping needs and can be visited by friends and family.

Food:

Dubai’s cultural diversity reflects in its cuisines, where you can find everything to please your taste buds, starting from the traditional Arabic food to all kinds of international cuisines from all over the world. Thanks to over 100+ nationalities residing and working in Dubai, you see these vast variety of options including plenty to offer for vegetarians and vegan.

Desert

Dubai, being located in the desert, yet provides a plenty of options to explore the dunes, which includes the must visit desert safari. That is not all, you could do quad-biking, sand-boarding, Indulge in a VIP safari experience. If you have time, you must try the overnight stay in desert (you would find a lot of travel agencies offering these) and my personal favorite hot air ballooning over the desert.

Water sports

Dubai is surrounded by water and brings for you plenty of options for water sports. You can go sunbath, go swimming, try surfing and water skiing or enjoy a scuba ride in the crystal-clear waters of Jumeirah beach.
